Old School Lane, Yateley, Hampshire
This garden was formerly part of a woodland and over the years has been made into a garden. The garden was dominated by a great many mature trees which cut out all of the light to the garden below. The house is a beautiful old red brick building and has loads of character.
Mistletoe Garden Design was commissioned to design and re-landscape the garden including the small front garden, a wild flower meadow and wildlife area for the children. The lawn area was to remain and the borders were to be curated with all new plants. The garden den building needed grounding into its space and planting was used to soften it and some outside hard landscaping was needed to allow a dry passage to the den from the house.

Before the rear garden was wild and dominated by large trees and a lawn which was raggedy at the edges. A new metal edge and defined borders help to keep the edges crisp. There front was smartened up with a low knot garden and removal of the patchy lawn, which was replaced with gravel. The border were planted up with a variety of Hydrangeas and other flowering shrubs.
