Unique DesignsEvery design is custom-made for each project.
After an initial consultation meeting, where we discuss your hopes and desires for the garden, a bespoke design is created just for you. It may be a re-design of a border or a complete new garden layout but it will be yours and yours alone. |
From Ideas to Reality
The Stages Involved
Survey & Site AnalysisTo start the project we perform a survey of the garden and take accurate measurements to allow us to draw up a blueprint of your existing garden.
This will include a Site Analysis which will determine the aspect, soil, nutrients, drainage issues, boundaries and views which will all inform the design. Layout PlanMaster Plan and Layout Plan - What's the difference?
This is the technical part. Once the Presentation Plan is signed off we have a Master Plan which contains all of the materials and specifications. From this plan we start to create the Layout Plan which is a scaled drawing with all of the measurements and technical details on for the contractor to follow. The materials and specifications are on the Master Plan and the Layout Plan contains all of the dimensions and levels. Tender PackAt this stage you may wish to get multiple quotes to construct your new garden.

A Tender Pack can be produced which is a set of documents that can be sent to all contractors to allow for a like-for-like quote. This includes:

ConsultationWe like to spend time with you to really listen to what you want to achieve in your garden. We would like to see all of your collected ideas and go through them listening to what makes each special to you.
Collect all of your magazines and books as your inspiration. I use Pinterest so why not create a Pinterest board for yourself and we can collaborate Design DetailingTechnical Drawings and Specifications
Design Detailing is required to ensure the contractor fully understands how we want the garden to be built. Each surface must meet another and we design that detail in to avoid any unplanned ugly joints or transitions. We decide exactly how your garden is to be built to meet your expectations and all British safety standards. CDM and Health & SafetyCDM and Health & Safety
A set of CDM documents will be produced and handed to either the contractor or yourself at the end of the design process. |
