Coastal Garden, Lee-on-Solent, Hampshire
This 23m x 8m garden in Lee-on-Solent was in pretty good condition but due to its poor use of space, had no real functioning spaces. There was informal planting around the edges of the lawn, a small terrace for entertaining and a dilapidated corner deck with a trampoline upon it.
Our client wanted to transform it into a garden with more usable areas for sitting, eating and cooking while still maintaining a large amount of planting and lawn for the children. Our design solution was to increase the existing terrace, remove the rotting deck and replace with a solid terrace area for a an attractive shed, divide up the lawn space and create a new vegetable growing area complete with an Alitex greenhouse.
